Easter standard.

So this Easter, me and my parents went to the lovely Iguatemi mall to watch Zootopia. It’s the oldest shopping mall in the city and, in my opinion, the most charming. It wasn’t busy because of the holiday, so I decided to snap some pictures while I was at it. The movie was quite entertaining, and went along with the theme for the main character was a bunny.

I look almost tall here.
stop and smell the flowers.

Blouse, skirt and scarf are h&m. shoes are franco sarto. bracelets are vintage. rosary-style necklace is from costume (brazilian store).

I have this thing with rosaries.
escalator to the movies.

And then we came home to a good amount of chocolate. Mine is a half-egg filled with white chocolate truffle and maltesers crispy cream.

easter egg.

It was good to take a break and being with my parents. Easter is all about spending time with family and loved ones. And chocolate eggs!

Pinheiros Market

So last Saturday my parents, my sister, and I went to the Pinheiros market to grab some lunch and walk around. You can find pretty much anything you want to eat or cook there, from fresh fish to nuts and dried fruit, it is very colorful and it was also super busy, since it was lovely outside.

We stopped by Comedoria Gonzales to grab their fresh fish and sea food ceviches, which were outstanding.

we didn’t have a proper fall here, but here’s some pumpkins

I’m wearing a J.Crew t-shirt, Zara pants, and Sperry boat shoes. My bag is the Longchamp Le Pliage Neo, and my bracelets are from Ferragamo and F21.

Until next time.

Steakhouse and Antiques

To celebrate my cousin Felipe’s 20th birthday, we went to one of the most traditional steakhouses in town – Bassi – and happened to stumble upon an antique fair while we waited to be seated.

It was great walking around downtown Sao Paulo, looking at some vintage finds and having delicious steak.

I’m wearing a vintage blouse, pearls that my Grandma brought from Japan, a F21 pleated skort, Ray Ban folding tortoiseshell Wayfarers, and Ralph Lauren pumps.

You know how people always say they’re starting a new diet next Monday? I told myself I’d start blogging today. Hopefully it won’t be like dieting and I’ll stick to it…

My name is Bea (Beatriz, but no one calls me that), and I’m 23. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where I currently reside and attend medical school. I’ve always been into reading, and recently I’ve discovered some fashion/lifestyle blogs that inspired me to create my own. I have two and a half more years of medical school, and this blog will be my attempt to document my life as I become a doctor. ‘The Proper M.D.’ will feature some of my (mostly weekend) outfits, maybe some culinary adventures, rants, and things I’ll miss about Brazil (including my beloved pets)…
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that after I graduate, I intend to join a nice residency program in the U.S. (I don’t know what kind of doctor I’m going to be yet). Long story short, I’ve always wanted to move abroad, and after living in Boston last year, my heart was set on America. My getaway plan involves a little more than just packing, it’s going to be a long, stressful and bumpy road.

So this is my idea of a therapy session. Maybe I’ll look back into this post and laugh, maybe I won’t look back at all.
